Last year, the Greenfields supplements were successfully introduced. Following this, Greenfields conducted an evaluation study to demonstrate the effect of the supplement Mobility+. Mobility+ was specially developed for the stiff joints of four-legged friends. We are happy to share the positive results of this study.

What makes Mobility+ special?

The Greenfields Mobility+ dietary supplement is specially formulated with patented ingredients to provide targeted support to the joints. It contains collagen type II (UC-II®), extracted from chicken cartilage, which is optimally absorbed by the body.

In addition, Mobility+ contains collagen type I (Ovomet®), which not only strengthens the ligaments and tendons around the joints, but also lubricates the joints. This collagen is extracted from the membrane of eggshell membranes and is a natural source of collagen, hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulphate.

The supplement also contains CurQfen®, which contains curcumin, a strong antioxidant that can positively influence various bodily processes. CurQfen® has created a unique combination of curcuminoids and fenugreek, which makes the absorption of curcumin up to 270 times better.

Scientific research shows that the unique composition of Mobility+ contributes to targeted support of the joints.

The test panel

The test panel consisted of 24 dogs, of which 42% were male and 58% female. No less than 11 dogs were older than 11 years, the weight was almost equally divided with 54% under 20 kg and 46% over 20 kg.

The majority of the group of dogs had difficulty getting up and showed problems walking, such as walking slowly or with difficulty. Other visible symptoms were pulling with the legs, sinking through the legs and cowering when touched. The most common joint problems were stiffness (33%) and osteoarthritis (29%).

The course and results of the study

The study consisted of a period of 8 weeks in which each dog was given one capsule daily. After only 4 weeks, 14 dogs were in good condition and after 8 weeks this had increased to 17 dogs. Unfortunately, a handful of dogs did not experience major improvements, some of which were probably due to their weight (+55 kg) or an advanced condition. From this we have concluded that the dosage for heavy dogs should be 2 capsules per day.

During the 8-week study, each dog received one Mobility+ capsule daily. After 4 weeks, 14 dogs were in good condition, while this number had increased to 17 dogs after 8 weeks. Some dogs showed little to no improvement, this was due to their weight (+55 kg) or an advanced condition. Based on these results, we concluded that heavy dogs may need a dosage of 2 capsules per day.

During the 8-week study, the number of dogs in the 'very poor' to 'poor' category decreased from 42% to 13%. In contrast, the number of dogs in the 'moderate' to 'good' category increased from 8% to as much as 71%. This indicates that the effect of Mobility+ during the study had a positive effect on dogs with joint complaints. A promising outcome of the evaluation study on Greenfields Mobility+.
